Updating wow to 4.0.1, I wee’d myself a little
Oh lordy! Well servers aren't supposed to be up till at least 12 Paris Time, but how exciting is this!?
Also, apparently Quick Auctions 3 has been discontinued, so far two different addons have been created to replace it. May the best one win.
Expect both to be extremely buggy, however Marcko tweeted that he got Zero Auctions working by turning off everything else.
I believe there are ways to import your old QA3 settings into both addons, however, with the chaos the AH is going to be today the fallbacks and prices you've set are going to mean diddly squat so consider jacking up your glyphs and gems an awful lot.
Update
Well after the usual patchday woes and struggling with the launcher saying "Lost Connection with Downloader" I managed to work out that you need to run launcher.exe as administrator. Go to your wow folder, right click on launcher and click on Run as Administrator. I imagine this problem will only happen in Vista/Windows 7.
So now I'm going to give the streaming updater a go, to see how playable wow is while it's still streaming the patch.
Minecraft Interstate
The amount of inspiration that a simple lego style game made by a bedroom programmer is remarkable. OK so Notch is more than just a bedroom programmer, but if anything it shows that the inspiration of a single person is still relevant and game changing.
Minecraft, where did the hours go?
I made my first Minecraft structure that I'm proud of. Lots still to do, but I'm pretty proud of it. Now I need to smelt some glass and make it a little more pretty. I'm almost tempted to turn it into an astronomy observatory as I think it would look good with a giant telescope poking out of it towards the stars.

One shot inside, which is very unfinished.

Homemade Arithmetic Logic Unit… in Minecraft!
It's amazing what people can do in Minecraft. theinternetftw has designed his own Arithmetic Logic Unit using redstone, a versatile material which allows you to create circuits and logic gates within the game. Once he's finished, he will essentially have a working 16-bit computer built within the game - this must be a first. Incredible.

Portal 2 to have co-op!
You can always be sure that when it comes to Valve they will create the finest content, and take as long as is needed to produce it. While Portal 2 has been pushed back to early 2011 (Feb 9th to be precise) they have just announced it will have co-op. Not only that, this will be a different story independent of the single player content, designed with 4 portals in mind.
Watch the Game Trailers video below.
2 early morning portal treats
